Choosing a gaming mouse is a highly personal decision. Everyone’s hands are unique, as are their tastes and needs, and we all play various games. That’s why we’re fortunate to be living in the golden age of gaming mice, when big manufacturers are putting their engineering strength into one-upmanship. As a result, there’s a glut of high-quality, low-cost gaming mice on the market.
Before and during quarantine, I tested quite a few. Being cooped up means spending a lot of time in front of a computer, both for business and leisure. I won’t be able to tell you which mouse is best for you, but I can make some suggestions. These are the greatest gaming mice for every type of player, as well as a few mousepads for good measure.

SteelSeries Prime Wireless
Steelseries gaming mouse have always been a favourite of mine. They always have such a relaxing vibe: beautiful lights, but not too many; reasonable prices; and a lovely, modest decor. But it wasn’t until I got my hands on the Steelseries Prime Wireless mouse that I fell head over heels in love. The Prime Wireless mouse is ergonomically designed to fit a wide range of hand sizes and is devoid of unnecessary buttons.
It’s made to be used in professional esports, and it shows. The buttons are pleasant and clicky, and it’s speedy and responsive. The welcome area is really impressive. I’m usually around 10 feet away from my PC tower, and even when there are obstacles in the way, the Prime Wireless never loses connection or starts skipping across the screen (even when the battery is low, which doesn’t happen very frequently). It also glides smoothly on almost any surface you place it on.

SteelSeries Sensei Ten
This mouse is a contemporary spin on a traditional design. The Sensei Ten is ultra-compact, ultra-light, and packed with cutting-edge technology. It has a built-in tilt-tracking sensor that guarantees the mouse stays in place even when you pick it up and move it around—for example, if you’re near the edge of your mousepad and need to swiftly return to the centre. The Sensei Ten is well-suited to competitive gaming because it can save you crucial milliseconds when you need to reposition your mouse.

The Best for Less Than $50
Logitech G203
Budget gaming mouse frequently sacrifice a lot of the features and performance found in higher-end versions, but the Logitech G203 never seems shortchanged. It’s astonishingly cheap, but it can compete with much more costly mice. The sensor’s maximum sensitivity is lower than that of a more expensive model—8,000 dpi (dots per inch)—so if you require the highest level of sensitivity, go elsewhere. It does, however, include six buttons, support for Logitech’s G Hub software, and, most crucially, RGB illumination.

The Best Dockable Mouse
Razer Viper Ultimate
A top-of-the-line gaming mouse has a lot of technology crammed into it. The Razer Viper Ultimate has optical switches and wireless response speeds of less than 0.2 milliseconds, which are industry-leading. The most significant criterion for a gaming mouse, though, is a straightforward one: How often do you consider it? Although a good gaming mouse includes useful functionality, a fantastic gaming mouse should feel like an extension of your hand. It shouldn’t be necessary for you to consider it. It should be simple to understand. All of these is included with the Razer Viper Ultimate.
It has a charging dock as well as a tiny wireless dongle. When not in use, the dongle is even stored inside the mouse. Oh, and it’s ambidextrous as well. It can be used by either right or left-handed people. Although it is no longer our best overall wireless mouse, it is still a fantastic choice and the finest wireless mouse with a charging dock.

In my house, the Roccat Kone Pro Air mouse is a favourite. It’s lightweight, with a stunning internal, semi-transparent lighting scheme and incredibly responsive buttons. Straight to hell, cyber-monster. It has a shorter range than most of our other top wireless mice, but if you’re a normal person who keeps their mouse on their desk, you shouldn’t have any issues.

The G Pro series mouse from Logitech was created with the help of esports professionals. The additional buttons are just where your fingers rest thanks to lightning-fast response times and good ergonomics. The wireless receiver has a response time of 1 millisecond, so you won’t miss any headshots due to lag. Mechanically tensioned springs beneath both the left and right keys, as well as distinct key plates for accuracy, make the buttons pleasant and strong.
