Fortnite is a 3rd Person Shooter/building game with a lot of strategy elements. It is classified under the genre of “action-survival multiplayer”, and has been one of the most played video games in recent years. The game has had many updates, adding new items, heroes, weapons, etc., but all besides Save the World, the more popular one
Today we explore one of the most important parts of any battle royale game – your hero. Fortnite is no different from other games in this arena. Your hero belongs to a specific class and each class has its own unique skills that can help you through Save the World’s many challenges.
Fortnite has four heroes classes: Soldiers, Constructors, Ninjas, and Outlanders. Fortnite’s heroes rarely fit into any one-dimensional category, but each is at the top of their game when it comes to certain things. Each one has a special skill that might make it better to play. You can use these skills to have more fun.
- Fortnite has many heroes, but two are the most prominent types: the Soldier and Ninja. Soldiers use ranged weapons like rifles or bows to debuff enemies, while Ninjas don’t need a weapon at all.
- There are four main classes in Fortnite: Save the World, and constructors are one of them. Not only can they build structures at a faster rate, but they also have more health points than other classes.
- Ninjas are the fastest and most nimble heroes in Fortnite, making them well suited for melee combat.
- The outlander is a scavenger class, helpful at finding rares. They open treasure chests more often and the rewards inside will be better quality.

Fortnite’s Save the World mode offers players many ways to play as a hero. You are not confined to playing any one class of hero and can switch between all heroes you own before starting a match.
You don’t lock yourself into being a specific Fortnite Save the World character; instead, you can choose whichever character in your Fortnite library that best suits what you want to do on that particular game theater. For instance, if you are running low on supplies or dying too often during games: try an Outlander for more variety! If your goal is to build an epic castle – go with a Constructor.
How to classify Fortnite hero types
There are 4 different heroes in the game, each with its own rarity tier: uncommon, rare, epic, and mythic. These correspond to how powerful they are- low rank for a weaker hero with fewer helpful abilities. Higher rank means that not only does this type of hero have more health points and other stats as well as better skills, but it also has additional abilities for you to unlock over time!
In Fortnite: Save the World, you can upgrade your hero and gain access to new perks and abilities that you’ll need to level them up. Rather than gaining XP through kills and objectives like in typical RPGs, you instead get Hero XP chips in loot boxes. These provide you with a pool of resources to spend on any hero that you fancy (and not just the one of which you’ve yet to use). This allows for upgrading a Hero that is yet to be used with the XP from one who has more experience in battle already.
A character in Fortnite: Save the World can advance to level ten and no higher. To progress further you’ll need a hero that has evolved to level ten, with some rare items, XP, and one of these elusive training manuals.
These evolutions are slowly obtained by being retired from use– very time-consuming to obtain as they require rare items (and sometimes) an Evolution item.
Upon hitting the max level and maxing out your hero’s potential, you can retire them. You can dispose of any heroes you no longer want by exchanging them for special items, such as a training manual. However, remember that this means taking the current uses from the hero and sending it to pasture forever–so be sure it’s really what you want before doing so.
